'old' can mean two different things here.

most of those games were previously announced games. so in that aspect, that's all you can say about anything in that conference as 'old.'

now what we all got excited about were NEW footage of these games. any they were amazing. Killzone 2 was previously announced, but we got the actual gameplay vid for the FIRST TIME. it didn't dissappoint either, and is possibly the most impressive game to date on any console.

GT5 is also not a surprise. we just didn't expect it to look so incredible though.

who isn't excited about seeing the next MGS4 trailer? you know we'd all get excited about any new footage on this game. also the fact that sony shut everyone up about this 'multiplat MGS' nonsense was a crowd pleaser.

Little Big Planet, Uncharted, Heavenly Sword, Ratchet.... yes previously announced games. i wanted to see the new footage though, and so did most others. guess what? the new footage was awesome, and most are sold on these games more then they ever were.

we got some new tidbits on how HOME would work. most of us were skeptical on that, and we wanted to see more of it... and that we did.

point is, most sony fans got to see what they wanted to see, which isan assurance of great games that exceed anything on other consoles. Sony delivered, and they weren't dissappointed.

The reason "Lemmings" and "Sheeps" aren't acting like it's Christmas come early is probably as they don't have much to go on about, remember the PS3 really has only a few games, and Sony proved that it's future games are going to blow it's owners away. I was wavering in my thought of the PS3 but E3 restored all lost faith.

Then look at 360, it has many games to chose from so another good game is just another good game and Halo 3 has been dealt a blow by Killzone 2, whether you want to agree or not, in terms of graphics, cause war isn't colourful, if you like war colourful you're probably a gamer that shoots the civillians and laughs about it lol. Also the graphics were close, in areas to the trailer, not cm close, but close. In some areas I'd have said better, more life like than the trailer itself.

And Wii...Well, Wii fit? Fat people rejoice your saviour has come =D

lemmings asked for this. Imo the only worthwhile things on the 360 are exclusives GTA IV content, mass effect, and halo. LO is a poor mans ff.

Everything MS showed was stuff we knew about. Sony had a couple of new stuff. Nintendo has a couple of new stuff as well. I say new as in new game that we have never heard about on the next gen consoles. Not arcade games.

They showed an FPS that made Halo 3 look like a PS2 game. They showed an exclusive FPS from the makers of goldeneye for their console. They showed a superhero sim that made Fable and Crackdown look the jokes that they are. They showed a racing game that made Forza look like a PS2 game. The DLC is the key. Those are new episodes, meaning new missions and storylines, not just cars and clothes like some Cows seem to believe. ;)

Ummm...first of all, you're downplaying the titles coming out this year. Granted they're not the bigs, but not having the bigs is okay when you have so many great looking games coming. It gives you this thing...what's it called...oh yeah, prospects. What did MS show you that you can look forward too? Now I'm not downplaying MS's lineup this year like you're doing Sony's, I'm just saying that it came across like there's nothing planned for 360's future beyond this holiday season. You buy a PS3 now, you can play all the great 3rd party games, 2 timed exclusives, all those cool Sony inhouse games, AND you have the three big games to look forward too. That's what a good press conference is. A comination of immeadiate future and long term. And stop bashing us cows already, it's been a long game drought and we're finally about to have some games. Yeah, I didn't think the Sonys press conference was good. Its barely better than the other two. Most of what they showed will be released in 2008 (near the end). They are asking PS3 owners to wait ...... yet again. They did show the Killzone trailer but...... we are talking about a game that didn't even manage to get a A rating on gamespot. Why are fanboys excited about this game is beyond me. Perhaps some significant changes to the gameplay and A.I. and maybe I'll take notice.

Sony does have the following games for release in 2007: Heavenly Sword, Uncharted, Ratchet and Clank, Lair and Warhawk. Then there are the timed multiplats like Haze and UT3. On the other hand, MS has Halo 3, Mass Effect, Bioshock, Lost Odyssey, Splinter Cell 5: Conviction, PGR4, Ace Combat 6, Eternal Sonata, and Blue Dragon.

I underlined the ones I'm interested in........... perhaps I might buy Lair if it scores 8.5 or higher.

What's not to be excited about? It's just looking like a great purchase in the future with games like GTAIV, MGSIV, FFXIII, GT5, Tekken 6, Uncharted, Heavenly Sword, Lair, Ratchet and Clank: Future, God Of War III, Little Big Planet, Infamous, Heavy Rain, Haze, UT3 and Killzone.

If you don't like any one of those games that's cool, but don't try and dull excitement for them, because they all look like fantastic games, and PS3 owners/future PS3 owners have every reason to be excited.

GS makes it clear that there is a different standard between the systems.... also i have played GTA and vice city on both of them and the xbox version clearly looked better and on top of that u could put any music u want.... look it up...

At the end of the day, games are games whether they have a number after the title or not, I could understand if this was halfway through 2009 and all the games got sequels, but this is a new generation (well, for Sony as far as English are concerned), and sequels are improving big time over what they were, and even then, only developers and publishers like EA are causing games to be rehashed over and over, and that cant be helped in sports games as it is.

Either way you look at it, compared with 06 E3, Sony just ruled. Cut them some slack.

It's almost like some people on SW are devastated that Sony didn't give them anything to **** about.
